EXPERIENCE - My present position is as a contractor at Boeing, and it has been continuously renewed since September 2006; specifically, I work as an Engineering Technical Support Tech for Home Team Liaison in Engineering Operations, Modification Engineering, located in the Everett, WA area. - In 2006, I worked as a contractor at Boeing Procurement at Everett, preparing the migration of Procurement contracts from paper to computer upload, and facilitating their database documentation for archiving. - At the University of Washington 2000-2005, I was Administrative Assistant to a Principal Investigator in Biochemistry Research, doing highly complex MS Excel budget charts and MS PowerPoint scientific presentations and posters, and before that I was Office Support Supervisor for Grant and Contract Accounting. - For thirteen years I served the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, supporting computer-use, budget, administration, scientific publication preparation, copy editing, database development, gopher editing and employee community activities. EDUCATION I achieved more than four years of university education but no degree, and have taken numerous courses and classes since, along with extensive reading and research in whatever interests me. ACTIVITIES AND HONORS Formerly, I was Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Port Susan Camping Club, and have been a Professional at Science Fiction and Fantasy fan club events; I am a published writer of fiction and non-fiction, have been editor of newsletters and was the Deputy Editor of a glossy magazine. SPECIALIZED SKILLS I am very detail-oriented in all of my specialized skills, which include: - Experience in legal, scientific, medical, and real estate fields (former RE license holder), practical and theoretical knowledge of agri-business, organizing large events and video conferences, scheduling, payroll, travel, transcription (75-90 wpm), problem solving; - I read and 'smatter' several languages (none of them well), and am an experienced traveler and entertaining conversationalist; - Power user of most major software programs, but especially MS Word (including organizing very large documents) and MS Excel advanced functions (providing support and training in computer use is a beloved standby), using MS FrontPage and html editing on websites, also using MS Visio, MS Access, and I recently started using Milestones Professional 2006 and will train some more on MS Project; - Project design, setup and training, using commercial software; - My writing, copy editing and desktop publishing of scientific, technical, legal and medical documentation have always been polished by spelling grammatical expertise; and - Analysis of database and spreadsheet statistical data for process improvement.
